We know that music is an important part of any well rounded life, but what are the benefits of the time and resources that your family will invest? According to The Children’s Music Workshop’s Center for Advocacy Top 10 for Parents Article, “Students who can perform complex rhythms can also make faster and more precise corrections in many academic and physical situations, according to the Center for Timing, Coordination, and Motor Skills from Rhythm seen as key to music’s evolutionary role in human intellectual development, Center for Timing, Coordination, and Motor Skills, 2000.” Our assessment shows that music and involvement in music programs help kids do better in school, teach them determination and perseverance, and that learning is a journey that happens over time.
